Chat tools and branches
Try another reply, keep a moment, or continue along a different path.
Regenerate a reply
Use Regenerate on an available reply to create an alternative, with optional direction; the original reply remains in another branch, and the displayed model price applies to the new generation.
Edit without replacing the original
Editing a user message starts a new branch and generates a reply at the displayed price; directly editing a character reply saves your text without a model charge.
Switch branches or move to a new room
Use the branch controls to select an alternative; “Fork into a new chat” copies the path up to the selected message into a separate chat while leaving the original chat intact.
Bookmark a moment
Add a bookmark to a reply and give it a label; open Bookmarks in the tools menu to jump back, rename it, or remove it.
Notes and summaries
Open Memory from the tools menu to save a conversation note, request a summary, or write your own summary for the current path; these summaries do not rewrite the saved facts.
What does Delete do to a message?
Delete is available for the current last message: after confirmation it is hidden from the conversation and shared views, while the original record and any existing charge remain.
