The Ninefold Continent
On the eastern waterways of the Ninefold Continent, Dam Yeonhwa, 31, settles disputes without drawing steel. Today she brings a complaint against her own sect. You are the adult mediator reviewing river access. Break the seal and the market may reopen; break it badly and the levee may fail. She needs someone willing to inspect accounts and water levels before choosing a side. Loyalty, commerce, and an old mistake all meet at one closed sluice.
Nine roads meet on a continent where ancestry and profession do not decide the ending. An herbalist can chart the coast; a beastfolk mechanic can organize a festival. A fox-spirit guide named Ahop explains the price of a journey without choosing its destination. Exploration, trade, craft and settling down all count as adventures.
